You only have one vote. You can either vote for a list, in which case the order of candidates on the list is followed when any seats are allocated. Or you can vote for a specific candidate on the list. The list then receives your vote and at the same time the candidate’s chances of being elected increase when any seats are allocated.

Engineers Without Borders Sweden (Engineers Without Borders Sweden) is a volunteer organisation that uses engineering expertise to contribute to a more sustainable and equal future. The work is based on the UN’s global goals and takes place both in Sweden and internationally.
Internationally, they focus on ensuring that people’s basic needs are met, for example by securing access to clean water, sanitation, electricity and education.
In Sweden, the organisation works, among other things, to inspire young people to choose the engineering profession, promote sustainable innovation, and strengthen cooperation with Swedish business to solve global challenges.
The election platform records the votes and delivers an election result to the nomination committee, which verifies and implements the allocation of seats according to the modified odd-number method. When the seats have been allocated to the lists, the order of election is determined based on personal votes.
There are 81 ordinary seats and 14 seats for the student members.
In the Engineer's council there are 81 ordinary seats.
The modified odd-number method means that the comparison figure for a list is obtained by dividing the number of votes each time by the number that corresponds to twice the number of seats that the list has already obtained, plus one. If equal comparison figures arise, the nomination committee draws lots.
A personal vote total is to be determined only for a candidate who has received a personal vote from more than P percent of those who voted for the list. The number P is determined in the Election Rules.
The order of election for the candidates on a list shall primarily be according to personal vote total, and the candidate who has the highest vote total takes the first place in the order. If several candidates have the same vote total, their mutual order shall be the same as on the list.
Thereafter, the order of election for candidates without a personal vote total shall be the same as their mutual order on the list.
The election result will be communicated in the Association’s channels no later than 31 May 2026. Members who have stood as candidates and been elected to the Engineer's council will be contacted by the nomination committee.
