What is the Engineers Election?

Sveriges Ingenjörer is a member-run organisation. By electing representatives every four years, we ensure that decisions are made about the union's future activities. The representatives elected by you and other members constitute the Engineers Council, the executive council of the association.

As a member, this is your opportunity to influence what issues Sveriges Ingenjörer will pursue by voting for the list or candidate that best represents your interests.

The election takes place through direct democracy, meaning that it is the members who elect the Council. The process is similar to that of the Swedish parliament.

Representatives of student members are elected through a separate process and are not part of this election.

  1. Lists are created

Here, the contact person fills in the List's policy statement and invites and approves candidates. The List can have a maximum of thirty candidates. Adjustments to the policy statement or the List of candidates can be made no later than February 15th.
