Cookies

A cookie is a short text file that is stored on your computer. Our website uses cookies to remember you and save the choices you have made on previous visits. Do you wish to change your cookie consents? Go to the footer of the page and click on cookie consents.

By using cookies, our website can remember things about you for the next time you visit the website and then, for example, automatically fill in forms with the information you have previously submitted. Only the site that has set a cookie can read its own cookie. We use session cookies and persistent cookies.

More about cookies

On the Sveriges Ingenjörer website, we primarily use necessary cookies, which are called session cookies. These help us to track and recognise your browser. Session cookies are not permanently stored on your computer. They are removed when you close your browser. To be able to log in to our website, you need to accept session (necessary) cookies.

We also use persistent cookies, also known as permanent cookies, which are short text files that enable the website to recognise you on a return visit. These store information so that certain messages, such as pop-ups, are only displayed once. Permanent cookies are stored on your computer.

In order to measure site traffic and analyse usage, we use cookies and other tools to send data to external partners. This enables us to improve our websites, adapt content dynamically and display customised offers on other websites.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

Facebook Pixel enables the measurement of a user's activity on the website, including information about pages visited, cookie information, referrers (referring URLs), IP address, device and browser information. The data is used for reporting on website users, evaluation of advertising and personalised advertising in the Meta advertising network. The user can control how this data is used for advertising in the Meta account settings.

LinkedIn

The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the measurement of a user's activity on the website, including information about pages visited, cookie information, referrers (referring URLs), IP address, device and browser information. The data is used for reporting on website users, evaluation of advertising and personalised advertising in the LinkedIn advertising network. The user can control how this data is used for advertising in the account settings on LinkedIn.

Google ads tags

Google Ads tags enable the measurement of a user's behavior on the website, including information about visited pages, cookie information, referrer (referring URL), IP address, device and browser information. The data is used for reporting on users of the website, evaluating advertising and personalized advertising in Google's advertising network. The user can control how this data is used for advertising in the Google account settings. Go to Google for more information.

Microsoft Advertising/Bing ads

These tags enable the measurement of user behavior on the website including information about pages visited, cookie information, referrer (referring URL), IP address, device, and browser information. The data is used for reporting on website users and evaluating advertising in Bing ads. Learn more at Microsoft.

BidTheatre

BidTheatre is a tool for data driven marketing that is used to show our users relevant content when they visit other web sites. BidTheatre identifies user ID and records visits to a website, or behaviour on a website, to perform targeting of ads and when user ID has been syncronized with partners of BidTheatre. Go to BidTheatre for more information.

You can turn off storage of cookies on your computer in your browser's security settings. No cookies will then be stored on your computer and session cookies or third-party cookies will no longer be used. However, this may affect certain functions on our and other websites. Another alternative is to choose a setting that warns you every time a cookie appears so that you can then decide on a case-by-case basis whether you wish to allow it or not. In order to log in to the Sveriges Ingenjörer website, you need to accept session (necessary) cookies, even if you choose not to accept persistent cookies.

Many browsers also have features for browsing anonymously or incognito. In this mode, all information about your browsing on the web, including all cookies, is removed when you close your browser.
